The Whisky Drought - Blues from the muddy banks of the Wansbeck

About the Drought

The Whisky Drought is the sound of one man wrestling with the blues in all its forms — from the haunted whispers of the Delta to the roaring crunch of modern electric. Based in North East England, playing the music that moves me, hoping to move you too. I write, perform and produce all my own music. Pulling influence from the greats — Robert Johnson, B.B. King, Freddie King, Albert King — and channeling the fire of Eric Clapton, Peter Green, and Slash.

The Whisky Drought is about chasing that restless feeling, the one that drives a rambling soul through late nights, heavy feelings, single malts, and the kind of songs that bleed honesty.

It’s an anti-war delta blues style protest song, primarily inspired by the current conflict in the Middle East, but also applies to countless wars throughout history.
